Concept:
This personal shoot captures the beauty of Mosaic Stadium from above — transitioning from dusk to night as the lights ignite and the city glows to life. The intent was purely creative: to explore how light, motion, and architecture interact when viewed from a drone’s eye.
Creative Notes:
The sequence begins with a tight approach on the illuminated signage, then pulls back to reveal the full stadium framed by the sunset. Later, the camera orbits to showcase the structure’s shape and lighting symmetry, closing with fireworks bursting above the skyline — a perfect balance of precision flight and cinematic timing.
Technical Breakdown
Shot in 4K D-Log for flexibility in post.
Manual exposure adjustments during sunset to maintain dynamic range.
Focused on smooth transitions, lighting balance, and motion continuity.
Minor post edits: color correction, de-noising, and shadow recovery
Purpose:
A personal creative experiment — capturing one of Regina’s most iconic landmarks through a cinematic lens. This project highlights aerial storytelling without commercial intent — just passion, timing, and a love for flight.
